Kodaikanal .!! The best of rides and ya fun inevitable

Before u read this .. a little knowledge of kannada is needed :) or it would be helpful if you have a KANNADIGA and TAMILIAN beside to help you with some phrases over here..

Let me tell u the most superb ride and trek and enjoyment story of kodaikanal :P

we decided that we shall go to kodai only thursday mornin over a casual call and we never knew what is there , what to do there, wht we may be able to look and anything .!! trust me .!! absolutely nothing and none of us knew :P

we decide we ll go and we decide we will search for places around , google and check images and enjoy a wonderful weekend :)

thursday by evening each one of us had got to know a lot of places and each one of us were saying we know some places :) when we wrote to each other what all plcs we got :P we found that the places we have al searched is from the same site :D and al of us have the same information abt kodai now :D so we decided lets not google much we can do that e1 after reaching kodai :D

we den msg each other that we are all gonna leave offices at around 6 and strt tomorrow evnin :) until anil says hey.. i dono wana go to office today :P i m on leave and we shal leave a lil early only :P everyone retot and decided we l leave at 5 from bangalore :P
but again i left office at around 4 45 and started drivin and called anil and thats when i figured our man had got into a afternoon nap mode :D and i woke him up from his day dreams :P he said hey.. u come down man i shal be ready :D  i said fine, 15 mins and i m there .!! he is like fine.. baaraapaa!!(our usuall style :P:P)

5 15 i m at the place designated for him to alight :P he says maga sorry le.. swalpa time kodo.. bartini.. i said as usual baa maga .. kaitini :) no probs ( let me tel u that anil usually doesn make me w8 ) so this time i said fine :P

5 10- 5 20 best of the msgs between all of us..!! excerpts : hey.. kill anil.. chuck him.. u are also late maga .. nenu 5 ge ili barbek itu.. nenu late madidya.. saii hogorle.. nanu late madtini.. i l also go to office and swipe out :D:D swalpa time jasti adru sigate ( wipro 9.5 probs :D:D was evident in those msgs )

5 25 anil comes and i m on the call with manoj scolding anil for making it e1 more late :D and he is standin next to me and says maga.. nenu 5 ili irbekitu . 5 15 madidya :P so.. swalpa nenu scoldin togo beku :D i said fine. get in and lets go :)

5 45 i reach the place designated for our next two brats :D manooj and karun :P bt the funny factor was the place designated was like too much crowded and i had to drive a bit farther :D adding fuel to their frustration that i changed the place of pick up and made them walk a bit more .!!!!!

5 50 all of us are in the car and we say hey and hug each other and say lets make this a journey of enjoyment :)

6 45 we are on the way towards salem and it starts to rain :) and ask me.. driving in rain is as much fun as it is for risk :P and it was raining damn heavy over the road :) ( all of us had this same doubt in our minds , if it rains this heavily in here , why the hell are they behind our KAVERI ( cauvery ) we all said cauvery namdu kolveri nimdu lol.!!!) al this apart ... but i was not able to speak so much as i usually do :P rain and nite drivin is a deadly combination and do that in TAMILNADU :D:D they are the drivers who drive across when its red in signal and stop at green .! ( trust me they do and i have witnessed ) and they drive opposite in a one way and make u think m i like driving opposite to one way ) .!! this and more with rain and dusk light with the windsheild getting fogged:P godddddddd.!!! i got the sentence from our very own anil.. :P enapppa sissyaaa... car oodsstha idre nam kade thirgi nodoode ila :D thumba silent aagidya :P i somehow got that back by sayin .. han magane nannu ninna nodtini.. aamele jana ella bandu namna nodtare road mele malkond irtivi ande .!! he understood and said maga super.. nam jeeva nin kai ali ide:P

7 45 drove and was talkin now and den .. most of the conversation from me ws like ... han eno?? sorry maga sari agi kelskol lilla.. sorry.. eno??? enoo ande?? le.. sorry.. helu :D

8 30 it stopped raining and we just got down and had some tea and coffee and smoke ( none for me :D:D lol.!!)

9 45 called my mom and told her i l not drive whole nite and all i will sty and take rest ( she would kill me if i had driven nite whole :( ) and if i had driven the whole nite U WOULD take the extra class on , hey.. pose kodakee.. torsakke.. ninge nidde baralla anta drive madidya.. hata ninge .. hucchu ninge.. yappaa.. idela nenp aitu.. ishtella baiskond ugggsskond iro badlu room huduka na anta ankonde :)

11 45 we start searchin for lodges .!! thats when we realise tamil nadu ali jana 6 gante ge malkoltare proly anta :P aiiyooo.. lodges mundhe lites off madirtare by 9 .!! and super fact is that LODGE anta bariyalla @#$%^&*( anta tamil ali bardirrrr tare .!!!!!!!!!!!!!! godddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!! thale ali idu enu ella ru jilebi na board mele hakidare ansoooo feeling barate :P:P

3 15 batalgundu -- hagu hegu... yappa. yavdo police na keli.. arta madkondvi.. LODGE andre hege baritare anta ( he didn teach anythin by the way :P he just showed us go to VV lodge over there and ask.. we asked him where is VV lodge .? he said hey.. turn back and see .. thats VV lodge :D:D:D:D:p thats when we realised how many times we have seen this strange symbols which actually meant LODGE and we have not realised al this while .!!! somehow we were able to manage a room and den i asked him , hey ungal kitta car irkudu .. enga parking ???( translation-- i have a car , wr can i park) he says , hey park anywhere no probs :D i said there are alot of cars how can i park like that ( dono how i managed this :D:D i was explaining using signs :P) he said sir, park its ok.. i parked infront the cars .! none could take their car until i took it out :P ( i was confident we will leave early and hence no probs )

4 30 slept :)

7 got up and got ready :)

7 30 came down and washed the car and we all went had breakfast and den we started towards kodai again :)

amazing scenary and cocunut wated every now and den and pics to last for a lifetime this was a super cool ride :) hills in the background and road in the front :) super aagitu.. time nodilla :) enjoy madkond drive madta ide :)

10 45 saw a falls where ther was absolutely not a drop of water but some kind of waste water coming by side :P ppl were enjoyin in that water .!! we tot water in any form can make and bring hapiness :)


11 30 -- reached kodai -- bisilu andre yappa.. sutttt hogo asht itu.. nanu anil yapppa... baro begahogi swlpa boating madana atleast swlapa neer hatra kadime irate bisi andvi..

12 boating madana anta hogtivi avn ajji.. malle shuru aitu :) we were so much happy that some relief out here from heat :) navu boatin mado asht hottu malle irlila.. amele horag bandu baadige cycle togond sutt tha idivi... malle hodi thu :)

1 00 bear shola falls anta cycle ali hodvi :) neeru ila adru falls neer idre heg irate anta imagine madkond vi :) malle ali slow aagi cylcing madkon vapas bandvi cycle vapas kottu.. next plan madana adre first oota anta hodvi hotel ge :)

2 00 played skating and dashing cars :P

3 00 started the ride to various places around kodai :)including Organic Farmer's Market,Christ the King Church,Solar Physical Observatory and museum,Green Valley View or the suicide spot .!! every place was just as pictureque as it has to be :) craking jokes on the way and enjoying the scenic beauty was just the best part of the journey around 18 kms :P Pine tree forest on the way were so much superb that we used to stop at every pine forest junction an take pics and sit , run like kids and and stand and shout and take pics and vids :P

5 00 we came down to a place called guna caves .. bad luck is that we just missed the place by 15mins .!! so we couldnt get in to see waht is there inside but the gaurd said there are some ancient caves but its been closed due to some untoward incidents in the past . he said go to the next area and see pillar rocks its good :)

5 15 pillar rocks , it was good to look at a rock standing like a pillar and there were no caves around :P we just had to see the place take pics and come back :)

5 30 coakers walk was good to spend some time around and talk we did just tat :) walked and talked :P wat an idea sirji :D

6 45 we started lookin for rooms and just den we got hold of a guy who cod get us that :P

7 30 we are al in the room and best part there was hot water :D we took bath and refreshed and sat down to chit chat abt al the previous trips and treks and outings .!!

10 00 dinner and anil says maga this beer that i have got tastes so bad .! i said is it? den give it :P i wil drink a sip :D:D cos i wana always feel bad taste in drinks :D:D onddu gutttku bai ali itte.!!!! burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr thuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu .!!!!!!!!!!!! yapppa maga .. hego kudita idya idana isht kahi .. isht vasane .! ande.. avnu .. maga kudi beku anta ansdaga hege enta brand sikidru kudi tha irode anda :D:D:D yelru nakkidivi andre.. shit.. avnu papa 2 bottles thandida.. he drank 1.5 bottle :D:D kelidre bidu maga.. en aagala anda :P

10 30 slept :)

7 00 got up and freshned up and vacated the room and went to byrant park and christ the king church :) it was good and at the same time maja ithu :P obruna obru etthi .. running race aadkondu:P maja ithu :P

10 40 we decide we l go to dolphin's nose :) trek :P we wnt and took some pics and vids which were good and moreover we spent amazing time there going around and enjoying nature at its best :)ride to that point is too good and also the plc is good :)


2 00 vapas bandvi and we decide we l go to guna caves and cover that as thats the only thing we have left :P

ali idarvna kelidvi hege hogo du anta guna caves ge:P avru ide way ali hogi.. 18 kms andru.. when we are abt to start some guy said.. see... there is an alternate road :P but police will catch if cos its one way :D but if u can go somehow it is not 18 kms its just 4 kms :D

nanu ok.. i l think ande.. den i tot.. 18 kms or 4 kms and some f8in with police sayin sorry i dont know the route.. :P i decided its like goin in one way in opposite direction :D

we wnt and there was police :P he said come to side :D i stopped the car some 100 mtrs ahead and wnt bak to him and said sir... how shud i go :P he said #$%^&*((*&&^%@#$%^&^%!@#$%^&@#$%^&*(@#$%^& one way $%^&*^%$@#$%^&*

i m like sir.. tamil teriyaad sir.. english lo solungo.. he said one way drivin?? why?? i said i want to go.. he siad show me ur DL Insurance Emission and everythin :P i wnt back to car and took the documents and showed him :P he said ok.. go straight and take left. be careful :D:D i said ok sir :P i shall :P

But on the way every tamilian drivin the car used to come infront of me and stop me and say one way.. one way.. :P i just cooly stopped the car... and said.. teriyad sir.. konja side pongo sir.. den i felt its heights and i was abt to stop the car and walk .. just den a Kerala guy with innova came and honked from behind :P i gave him some space for him to move :p he wnt ahead and i said guys i l try to follow him :D let him get the scoldin and we wil move behind him and say sorry sir to anyone who scolds :D all the guys are like heyyyyyyyyyyy chaiiiiiiiiiii pls. beda le.. idu teeeraaaa athi aaitu :P i said its ok.. we l see.. as far as posible :D and i wnt :P at one point he was totally obstructed and there was no way out i just parked the car and got out and asked someone sir.. guna caves engje irakku? he said illye park paanit pongo.. :P( meaning parkin ur car and u can go walkin )

we parked our car and went walking and it was just some .5 kms ahead :) den i realised i have driven 3.5kms in one way in reverse direction :D:D but whn i got down my head and eyes were so much in pain that i was able to feel it :D

we wnt to guna caves in rain and came back and den we started the ride back to our home. stopping at every junction for some food chats smoke or anythin else like scenary :)

reached back home as u know in morning :)

two days b4 the trip .!! Thursday evening , i call up nevin and say alok - our soul mate for most trip and treks has given a clear no to KP and so is the case of our man Gowda , our plan is shattered.

Nevin is like shit man.. again this time u cancelled this plan of KP.!! ( We have had him ditched in our previous plan of KP and we - self dj and alok went :P ) so the frustration on his voice is quite obvious :P as a guy who gets ditched from trip and he l tell u how it feels like.. More of a victim here is like a guy called Karun :D every other time he has been ditched :P reason could be as silly as DIDN reply to mail.. didn reply fast !! wat?!?? hahahaah.. but ya.. it feels papa for him but yes. he is a guy who is least bothered to reply and he gets it everytime .!! now the times have changed and he doesnt delay in replying to mails and makes sure he is the first almost to respond to the mails  tat are sent by me :P

Den it was around 6 thursday nite and i see the FB invite from one of our coll frn.. Deelip , bike trip to madikeri..!! I had responded saying ya i m in :P without e1 seeing the date :D ( fact is for a guy its like just clicking on yes for every request on FB very rarely he notices for wat he has clicked yes :D)

Deelip's msg rang in my mind. Bike trip..! weekend.. i called our F*** man guy nevin:P he says - "characteristic voice and tone".. -- No dude.. I m not interested. I m not coming .. u guys will enjoy .. i wont ..  rafting.. no man. driving no man.. my bike no man.. most often than not u expect him to NO DUDE.. Common dude.. common maga.. no dude.. !! i keep asking him hey come man.. come dude.. ( did i tel u that he is recently married and now an uncle :D lol!!  but ya.. he is .!! anyways.. for him nothing much will change as he is like the same b4 marriage and after.!! NO DUDE.!!!!  ) But as usuall i started saying dude.. in FB there is a invite... bike trip.. madikeri.. come man.. now u know the anser ..! i start off with my usual style saying come dude.. man.. come..stop this.. come.. ( his wife had some exams or something tat weekend and thats the reasson he had started asking me what plans for weekend and all that.. now that ther is a plan he is like no man.. ) den i told him... maga.. ok.. lets cut the deal offf.. Me u Dj Manoj in ur car this weekend . madikeri.? ?? He is like.. ________ u knw now :P:P

den i called our one of the man's :P man in his name too :D Manoooooooooooooooooooooj :P God knows now how many O's shud be there in his name :P some kinda of numerolgy freak i suppose.! he says NO man.. bike !? no no no no no no.!! I dono wat goes thru in minds when they hear a word BIKE trip.. accident? :P but i said.. ok. cut the deal.. car.. mine... ? me u and dj adn some1 else too.? ok? again.. he is like no man.. no money.!! areeee.. i said fine.. leave.. i l put money .. u just come .. gime later.. ( same sentence was told to our man NO DUDE  hope u knw whom i m refering to ...) e1 den manooooooj says no.. i get pissed off..

I call my best dependable.. DJ .. tel him.. sat.. bike. me u and deelip and others. bike? he jumps nd says.. I M IN... i say.. in is fine.. but ON?????? he says .. definitely Discover 150 :P which happend to be my bike.. i said.. le.. come on.. are u nuts? so much distance.. in my bike?? he is like common maga.. ---baro le-- we l do it.. ( lemme tel u now.. he doesn know driving.. whole up and down jouney wil be completely mine if something happens to me e1 den its my responsibilty to get him back )

But as usual i m kinda of happy wiht DJ .. although he depends on me he very rarely says no .. or shud i put it like .. i has never told a no to me??! :) ya.. better i feel..

Den i decided. I called NO DUDE guy.. and said.. maga u come or dont.. i m goin with DJ and he is on my bike.. Nevin is like!? wat?! are u nuts?? whole trip?? drive??  u shud man.. dont u knw.. i said fine.. i l make it.. dont worry.. u get ur bike.. we l enjoy.. he starts sayin no.... my bike.. is noottttttttttttt ... nooooooo.. i feel ok.. leave.. no more disc.. den he msgs me at 10 , maga i m coming with Byrappa.. enfield.. i said ok.. fine.. atleast ur comeing.!!

Friday morning.. Manooooj asks.. car?? i said no.. he is like k. i tot car i can come. i said no. plan done. bike. and bike is also occupied . he is den like.. k. i too have other work..

friday i confirm deelip that this is our plan.. me and dj in ma bike.. nevin byru in his bike. dee says k.. 6 at rajarajeshwari coll.!!

Ahahhahhahahahahahahhaha... now there was a whole lot of laughter.!! Byru... Deeliip combination.. 6 in morning.!!! reason being simple both have almost never made anywhere on time :P every1 has told the same sentence :D u and byru in combination.. 6??????? hahhaha.. papa i knw it hurts.. BUT HE NEEDS it :D


Sat Morning its like around 5 i suppose.. DJ cals me and i like getting up from my bed.. he says.. hey.. get up bugger.. its 5 and u r sleepin i said .. no man.. i m ready :p i l leave :P i nver told him i ready to GET up and LEAVE bed :D he says ok.. and cuts the call :D

I get up and get ready and Nevin says pick me man.. i m like ok.. wil be at ur plc by 6 maga.. i somehow make it at 6 15 and i make sure i inform him when i was leaving that i m leaving.!! i go to his house.. he says hey DUDE>. coming.. i m like wonderstruck now.. nevin coming without makin me wait??? oh.. ok.. good.. good sign.. den i wait for some 10 mins.. and den i look at my watch it says 6 35 :D i realise.. ok.. no changes :P he comes down.. and boom.!! he is wearing a jacket thats so much covered proly his undieeees wil never get wet e1 if gets drenched to dripping wet.. i ask him.. dude.. are u sure? he says i have a raincoat man.. i was like.. oh.. he is so much prepared..good. i have come with just a jacket and my clothes dumped in my bag :P but its ok.. i usually go like this :)

I went to the place wr i usually pick my MR. Dependable . He is w8in as always. we speak for sometime and we w8 for some of our folks to turn up and we start to move..  I havent told u that in the guys list is Mayur with whom i had already been to a bike trip and he is like kinda known guy to me :) so we all shook hands and we made it to the place decided..

To our shock......... Byru is there..!! ontime ??!?!? but good :P Deelip is not :P ( later got to know there was minor changes in the plan and hence he hadbeen to pick a guy thats wat delayed him ..) some respect at last :P we when w8in for dee took some pics.. and just met others.. i met the champ.. abhi.. i had been with him to hogenkal and had known him :) so we had a chat and then foto session continued :)
we had breakfast at some hotel :P i dono the name . none of us m8 know as well..

around 12 we stopped for buying hmmmmmmmmmmm u must und now :P guys.. madikeri. ;) so ok.. stuffed in to bags of al those who had some space and we carry on..

at somewhere around 2 30 every1 of feel we shud stop down for lunch and hence we stop and we ask the hotel owner wr to go and which is the best places and all that :) he was very patient and replied in the best possible ways quenching our insatiable hunger :P we are all geared up and decide next stop is MADIKERI :D but in middle every1 stops :p god damn it.. its cold :P expect nature to ask us stop relax :D:D

den on the way to madikeri we zoom at faster pace just to reach the place as i knew it was already 3 30 and if we delay any further we cannot see anything else other than some unwanted places like parks and musical fountains:P

its like around 4 and we reach a road which says DUBARE 35 kms in reverse :P we are like wat?!? hw cod such a thing happen , we al have been closely seeeing all the road sign but 4 bikers have missed .. leave the bikers.. i mean riders.. pillions too hv missed.!! den we wondered wat on earth are these buggers sitting behind and doing :P but at the same time do we see the sign board also say Abbe falss 8 kms :P we cal deelip and say we are goin to abbe fals.. u guys cme directly.. he says ok.. calls another guy and says come directly .. we all laugh :P cos that other person was me ;) and i had already decided and it was mine and Bharath's plan to go to abbe falls :P and we go there and enjoy the scenic falls , not to mention our Abhijith's amazing camera capturing the unique FB profile pics :P but the falls is a must visit if u r goin to madikeri :)

having seen the falls we all decide that we can actually visit Raja seat and make it a evening sunset view time but clouds played a bit of spoil sport and we witnessed only clouds :D and the time we spent there was like around 45 mins but fun nevertheless, giving those poses to pics and holding deelip as though we are trashing him :P and al that :)

having spent time there.. we decided its now time to look for a place to halt and camp fire and fun and ofcourse for our guys..the masti :P:p nite time , chilling winds camp fire and .... u knw wat..


at 7 we are serious :P its dark and every1 says the routes to the areas are al out of the twown and we are like ok. we l book something now..

bharath luckily knew some1 from that area and was able to get a room for al of us :) infact the rooms when we visited made us feel its a amazing place :) good place with right amenities and the best beds and spreads :)

we just freshen up and get to talk to the kitchen guys and order our menu :) tel him abt wat we want , he obliged and infact he gave the best of wat we ordered :)

 it was like around 8 when we start the camp fire and god.. those rains plays havoc :P its not easy to light the wet wood ;) thanks to kerosene :P ( some ppl confused it to diesel :P buggers.. kerosene is not always blue :P if its blue its illegal to be used as its supplied by govt for poor ppl to use not for using on wet wood for Camp fire :D:D:D hahhaahah)

 but the tenders of the court yard served us with Pakoda and Chicken bla bla bla and every1 one hogged wat he felt was good :)

 stories started and every1 starts to tell wat he felt and wat was good thing abt our college life.. and boss it was al so much fun :) there is no power and still we are using torches to make a spot light for guys to speak :)


Every1 talked , and den started the fun of dancing and playing around the fire and it was so much fun :) god knows wat time it was wen we decide we l get back to the room and have a nap :) bt we get back and sleepe at like at around 4 i guess..

morning i get up go and see the best views in light drizzle walked and spent some quality time with nature :)

den i come back and wake our guys  up and try to tell them we have to get ready as early as possible if we have to look at teh place around and also Dubare water raft:p

by the time every1 got up and got ready ... guessssssssss... its like some 11 and it starts to rain a bit heavlily :) we decide Talacauvery and Bhagamandala ride will be good :) Bharath and self decide the ways and routes and den we head start.!!

God must be really staying somewher cls by to those places..! wat a place.. wat a ride. in rain.. get wet and soak completely but feel energised :) really funny :) and cool...

we reach talacauvery and not to mention abt the road side stops for pics :) it cals for it.!! u cant just get awy without taking pics :D

god damn.!! we reach the peak point and most of us have Enfields :P it makes sounds that sends shivers to the person standing next to the bike.. now imagine a holy place with piligrims around and then there are like 12 ENFIELD!!!!!! sounds like ......!! u got it ;)

police is like wat the hel is this. they come out and sees a army of bikes :p trying to take a pic with every1 standing side by side :P and den some1 in ful to enjoyment shouts :D:D bugger.. none of us know exactly who screamed :P but police starts his mastery :P he says get ur docs .. get me ur keys.. will file a case against u folks..  we are like wat the hell.!!

Suddenly our man.. mayur steps in and takes control.. thanks to him and his bravery .. police is now like ok.. go guys :D:D Thanks mayur :D

den we climb to the hill top and experience the thrill of lifetime with pics ofcourse :)

den we come down and decide next stop bhagamandala.. out of nowhrer a guy stops at a bajji shop and boss.!! every1 stops and hogs the bajjis..!! i mean pakodas.. i mean we dont know.. hot.. eat it.!! lol!!!!

den we decide we are heading back to bhagamandla and we start.. on the way down me and DJ are filming a video and i tel him its not good maga.. lets not take the risk.. he says its ok.. u drive i m taking it :P and we miss a truck by inches .!! and i tel him ,,, enuf..!! keep it in..!! obliges :P


we reach bagamandla and me and dj have a look at the temple Bhangandeshwara and den we come out to see all our folks and say Lunch now.. every1 agrees.. it was good as well.. den we start the discussion.. which route.. u knw how guys decide.. each one says his opinion and we are like yes.. he has a point :P den some1 says no.. we are like k.. he too sounds good :D den we are like vote up guys :D and we decide mysore road :)

we kick start and we change our wet clothes on.... areeeeeeeeeeee on road reee :P we pulled at a plc thats like sub road and we changed ;)

den we strt the ride back and i drop DJ to mysore and we have dinner at Empire and head straight back to our houses :)

whole ride ends with me reaching my house at like 3 or 4 not sure :P and i sleep and carry on with my work from the next day :)

Beginning

just a sentence --It all started way back in 2011 when three friends decided they are going to try something new and amazing for pass time-- (keep this in mind )

:D read this and remember as i continue to state pass time which later finds itself un-folding to time pass and notice how it makes u understand the difference :P

having said that.. i recommend that u dont read this article for spelling or mistake free cos there are gonna be ones which actually have been deliberately invoked just to show how we talk or converse rather than how we write..

the next point that comes up in my as i write this is that U have to read this as though u are standing or sitting next to me and seeing this happen :p meaning u have be a good imagination friendly bugger :p else its gona be hard to understand wat i write..
as i started in the very beginning this blog only shows ppl who we are and not what we are :D and more over read this at ur own risk cos i m8 post for a day and m8 not post for a long time :P
